5 Days Myanmar with Mandalay
(Yangon - Bagan - Mandalay - Amarapura - Mandalay - Mingun - Mandalay - Yangon)
DAY 1: YANGON/ Arrival Day
"MINGALAR BA" - "have an auspicious day" - are the first words you will hear from our local tour guide. Among the many interesting places in the Golden City, the magical Shwedagon Pagoda will be on top of your sightseeing list.
DAY 2: YANGON - BAGAN
Paradize for early morning birds! 7 am flight to Bagan which will bring you back into the 11th century! 1,000 pagodas in the morning, 1,000 pagodas in the afternoon...Ananda, Shwezigon, Thatbinnyu and, and, and....No time for lacquerware shopping? Of course - shop till you drop!
DAY 3: BAGAN - MANDALAY - AMARAPURA - MANDALAY
Breathe the unpolluted air on the wooden U Bein Bridge in Amarapura and visit the famous hand weavers: How exiting to watch the skill of the threads being tied! Back to Mandalay, the most famous pagoda - the Mahamuni Pagoda and the world's largest book - the Kuthodaw Pagoda. The climb of 1,729 steps to the Mandalay Hill will reward you with a firm and sound sleep.
DAY 4: MANDALAY - MINGUN - MANDALAY - YANGON
Have a one hour boat ride on the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River and share your merits by striking the largest ringing bell in the world - the Mingun Bell. In the afternoon you have enough time to visit some of the famous handicraft workshops! Late afternoon flight back to Yangon.
DAY 5: YANGON - Departure Day
Enough time for wandering around the Bogyoke Market and find some souvenirs for the unlucky ones who could not join your wonderful trip! Interested?
